About Miss Marie-Elena
I was raised in Long Island, New York where I was always encouraged to sing joyfully! While in high school, I performed in choirs and in musicals. As I became a young adult, I became a lead singer of a top 40 band performing all over Long Island. During this time, I earned my bachelors degree in Elementary Education while raising my family at the same time.
I have always encouraged my children Gina Marie, 41 & Michael, 36 to enjoy music and participate in music with all their heart. My son's main instrument is the drums, but he can play most others. He has always been a part of bands and has owned his own studio where he has written, produced, and performed music for his own band and many other very reputable bands. My daughter plays the piano, participated in choirs, and has been a part of many groups to celebrate her joy of music.
Now, my family has grown! I am now sharing music with my first grandson, Grayson Avery! At 4 years old, he is showing signs of musical interest and talent! When he was only 2 years old, he walked over to my piano and started playing keys from the bottom to the top using one finger! I was thrilled! His Mom and I have been singing, dancing and sharing instruments since he was born! It's amazing that how when a child is introduced to music at birth (and before!) they will always have a passion for it! It is my greatest joy to help you and your family embrace that!
Over the past 40 years, I have taught preschool, kindergarten, first grade, fourth grade, fifth grade and, most importantly, music for Trinity Christian Academy in Lake Worth for grades K-12 and Calvary Christian Academy for the 2 year olds, VPK, and school-wide music. I have led school choirs and directed the annual holiday programs representing 200-300 children.

Currently, I am teaching my program to all classes at Faith Preschool of Boynton Beach
I have also brought my program to various nursing homes including the Barrington Terrace in Boynton Beach where I share music and movement with the elderly and children. I have also volunteered for this past year for an incredible program called "Music And Memory" working with alzheimer patients from Royal Palm Beach to Boynton Beach.
